About Halaal Trails
Halaal Trails helps you find masjids, halaal food, shops, places to stay and Muslim-friendly services across South Africa.
Businesses and masjid committees add and manage their own listings, and keep them up to date themselves.
About the labels
- Halaal certificateThe business has listed a halaal certificate. Each one shows the certifying body and certificate number, a copy of the certificate where the business has uploaded one, and a link so you can check it with that body yourself.
- Certificate expiredThe expiry date the business gave has passed.
- Muslim-ownedOwnership is shown separately. It doesn't mean a place is halaal certified.
No certificate listed? That doesn't mean a place isn't halaal. Ask the business directly.
Keeping listings fresh
Businesses and masjids are asked to reconfirm their details regularly. If they don't, the listing is marked Not recently confirmed so you know to double-check.
Please check before you rely on it
Everything on a listing, including halaal certificates, registrations, prices, hours and salaah times, is provided by the business or masjid. Halaal Trails doesn't check this information and isn't responsible for it. Where we can, we link to the certifying body or register so you can check it yourself.
